Former comment (the long one) is definitely the most stupid and ignorant piece of crap I´ve read since I can´t remember when !

"The worlds smallest superbike" was an astounding pocket racer for it´s time .
The package offered unbelievable versatility , with for example stability and comfort enough for long distances .
Front fork needed care , and the YPVS-valves themselves were prone to wear and consequent leakage .
Electronic boxes seem to fail more often than todays bikes .

Today , they seem hard to find (other than thrashed ones w awful roller paintjobs and/or ripped equipment - perhaps to be expected considering the clientel often using these well constructed lightweight bikes.. )

The RD 350 YPVS has one of motorcycle historys longest pedigree , and it shows ! This one is really developed !

Well maintained , and with good tires , it handles very well indeed , for a bike of it´s time .
Very quick acceleration in lower gears :-) !

Competent engine tuners were able to achieve simply amazing horsepower from the small engine ,
while puberty boys mostly were able to ruin the reliability instead . . . (to keep in mind when buying.. ).

The small top-fairing didn´t help high-speed stability , though it reduced draught on rider . The full fairing of later year was much better .

Personally , I think the paint trim on the -83 model was the most attractive of them all ! Sadly, most of the remaining bikes now are wrecked and/or repainted .

Unbelievable value for money !!!

Great fun !!!
