if you lived in the uk during the mid to late seventies and happened to be in your late teens, into led zep, deep purple, punk an´ all that then chances are you had one of these? i piled mine into the back of a stationery car after 3 days whilst waving at some fat bird and gestering ´look at me, i´m so good´.... bang!!! 4 days later after a brief interlude at the LRI (Leicester Royal Infirmary) I woke up only to find that under my 13.5 stone gut was some broken ribs!! Ha! Ha! After this I actually found out how to ride this litle buzz bomb. Got rid of the stupid ace bars some **** had put on and reverted back to standard bars - ideal for pullling up the front in 1st and 2nd. Eats drive sprockets and the engine mounting bolt at the rear breaks regularly. What do you expect, it´s made out of taiwanese recycled bakelite! Apart from that just put petrol in, keep the oil topped up, check the oil pump cable, change points and plugs every 6 months, time with gauge and torch (ha! ha!)and don´t ever use the ridiculous electric start - what idiot thought that one up? Oh... and rev within a millimetre of it´s life and you might get 90mph out of it down hill, on the tank, helmet buried in the clocks!! |
