This was the second motorcycle I owned. I got it in 1972 or 1973. It was extremely fast, good handling and reliable. The only real problems I ever had with mine were fouling plugs, which I later found out better ignition coils would have solved. It also went through a couple of voltage regulators, a problem I had with several of the yamahas I had from the seventies. You never did see very many 1970 R5´s, even back then. Every time I do see one it brings a smile and a trip down memory lane.
