Not sure if F is referring to European model, but here in the USA the 1972 R5 was designated the R5C. Actually the R5 model was only around for 3 years here, the 1970 was a metallic purple/white; the 1971 was orange/white and the last yr was orange/black by far the best looking! (Since that´s the one I own)
