bike starts up then dies seconds later?

Bike will fire up first kick then cuts out when cold! then it is a mission to start, usely ending in putting fuel direct into spark plug hole to start again.
Bike runs great when started loads of power. Starts first kick when warm.
Any ideas to cure would be helpful Thanks
