Looking for answers on how this start and run switch works. I dont have a manual but what I have come up with is that there are three seperate electromagnetic coils, one for run, one for retarded spark during start mode and the third or small one is a trigger for the two control units. I had spark then lost it. The system will light a spark tester light but it is weak at best. I checked the resistance of the charge coil and it is open, the lighting coil or start coil is grounded. My question would be, do I have to replace both the charge and start coil, or just the one that is grounded??
I thought if I had just the run coil working it would start but from the other entry no spart except start I think both might have to be working to get runnig.
Any help would be appreciated.
