| Great looking bike and great fun to ride ! I have had in the last few years an R1 , Blade, Vmax and even a goldwing all great in there own right but i have to say the MT is the best from the lot! And its has slowed me down as the others are just to hard to ride sensible on the roads without getting points or close shaves with on coming traffic ! Although i could do with a bit more power ....another 20/30 BHP would make it perfect ! The stage 3 kit from Yam is £3.5K ... Silly money but ....maybe i will have to save the pennies as i think the Mt will be with me for a long time ! cant see me getting tired of riding it with the looks /style /sound / torque /handling. i have spoken to Chris at track and dyno in aylesbury and he is currently looking into the MT to see what can be done ! Also i believe "Bike" mag is doing a test on the stage 2 kit next month ! Remus do a set of end cans which replace the stock without the single seat conversion and you can get these at M&P but you will need to ring them as they are not shown on the web site yet ! And an Australian firm has made some to but i dont know about shipping etc ..... its painfull having to wait for the aftermarket guys to start making cheaper better aftermarket bits for them ! But i am sure they will follow soon ( fingers crossed!) If anyone knows any info on bits .....make sure you post them on this site ! Anyone thinking about an MT-01 ... Go test ride one ! But dont be expecting R1 performance .... but it will cedrtainly bring a smile to your face ! |
