Bob, last time I looked, the Majesty wasn´t a real cycle nor intended to be but a maxi scooter with some cycle attributes. The attributes it has make it one of the top three selling bikes in virtually every european country in either the 250 or 400 cc iterations so they must think the compromises are pretty acceptable...after all, they´ve been doing this longer than we have. Most of us, me included, have wide enough butts that the wide seat is a blessing though I would not want to ride more than an hour at a time without stretching my legs and walking a bit which is true for me on a 1100cc road bike as well. Hope you find accommodations for all your own issues...I´m still looking for one or two for me as well though not fundamental ones. I´d have thought you would have identified the issues you have before buying...I found sitting in the showroom on it told me the ones I´d have. If one were made with a 500 cc engine and a foot pad slightly further forward for me and also with 15" wheels I´d fit 5% better too but overall, none was and the Burgman just didn´t do it for me even though the engine size was bigger. I also wanted something made in America but nothing like that came up when I searched so I´m pretty well adjusted to the Majesty and like it for my purposes. I have been wondering if I could find one of those car drive hump add-on little baskets that has weighted sand in the base that would sit on top of the gas door between my knees while riding since there is no wind there. I´d be able to nurse a 24 oz coke or something easier that way too. We´ll see. Lance |
