I´m 5´7" and 76 years old. I don´t like backrests, in fact I wish that little pad on the back of the drivers seat was gone, but I don´t know how to take it off. I think that leaning back against a backrest tires you out and is worse for the spine. I think it´s better to sit up straight. - Sam
