Your message about the oil change and the bolt was interesting. I watched the tech. do mine at 700 miles and he had no trouble at all. I will do mine from now on as well. Did you change the oil filter as well? I think I will have to buy them from Yamaha. I´ve got about 1700 miles on it and gave up calling it a scooter as all but the Harley guys insist it´s a "bike" given it´s size and keeping up with them. It is no less than fantastic..highway mileage excellent and around town somewhere near mid fifties with me at 6´4" on it. I needed a bit more leg room so took the little bump at the back of the seat off and filled the holes with washers and got an extra inch of leg room for my 33" inseam. The bike has become my Richmond Metro transportation totally. I will miss that when it´s really cold and snowy this winter. Did you find oil filters anywhere else for the bike than Yamaha? I bought the manual for it and will only do so much as you have to take so much fairing off to do anything significant. I also want it to work correctly! Lance |
