Does the bike have a "check engine" light on the instrument pod? If so, there may be onboard diagnostics in the system. A service manual (always a real plus with an injected bike) will show you how to check each sensor, but I suspect the TPS, especially if the bike stalled when you returned to idle speed. I had a similar problem with my ´04 FZ6. Check to see if a re-designed TPS is available from Yamaha. It should be a free fix. Bob |
