Yes, Daud, last week I did ask my dealer and he confirmed October/November for the 2005. He also told me that they actually know very little about them until a week before they are sent to the dealers, standard operating procedure for Yamaha, why I do not know. He also confirmed very little change for this year, as far as he knew. But maybe we will see the updated R-1 engine next year, crossing my fingers but never know. Also found out that there is now a riser kit for R-1 handlebars out now that raises the R-1´s to within 1 inch of the FZ-1 and does not hit the fairing or tank. I still think the FZ-1 will be more comfortable for longer rides. Up to 13,000mi in only 7 months riding time, but snow will be flying soon.
