In my fazer 1000 it does the same when i start it and it turns off since i put the 1st gear.it might be a bike´s automatism that detects the bike´s immobility and it prevents the bike to overheat in case of long engine running and being still.since you put the 1st gear it detects you are about to move and it stops automatically..i love it!
