Hi fellow FZ´ers Been reading some of the great forum you have here and have a couple of questions I´m hoping someone can help me with. I recently purchased an FZ750 Genesis but the person I bought it from knew little if anything about the bike (owned it for a year)he bought it from a friend who now lives elsewhere and he couldn´t answer most of my questions, because of this I got the bike relatively cheap. It runs fine (won´t idle when cold but fine when warm). The bike is registered as an ´87 but when I run the VIN at Yamaha-motor.ca it comes up as an ´88 FZ750 Genesis. Now the bike has a 4:1 exhaust with a Yosh can and a K&N filter, I was curious if the previous owners knew to up size the main jets so I removed the bowl from an outside and inside carb and took out what looks to be 108 main jets but I can not see where Mikuni made 108 jets (thought 105 but definitely says 108) What are the stock size jets as I have read 3 different forums stating 3 different sizes. K&N is the only place where I can see made 108 size mains (maybe has a kit already?). And if you can are there any concerns with FZ´s of this year I should watch for? Thanks a bunch for any help anyone can give me, very much appreciated. |
