You dog, I want a DT 400 so bad! I used to have a 1976 YZ 400 motocrosser and it was a absolutly amazing bike. It was the very first monoshocked bike on the market. It also had these odd air chamber forks that actually worked extremely well for there day. My bike was given to me by a local Yamaha dealer to race for there team. It had been lighly modified and was a little down on power at lo revs but once it got up to somewhere around 4500rpm it began to pull hard and at about 6-7000 it had a hit like 4 125´s coming on the pipe all at once. Absolutly a rocket. I took it to our dragstrip for laughs one weekend and did a 1/4 in just over 12 seconds while wheeling the entire length of the strip! It was one of the eaisest bikes I have ever ridden to do wheelies on too. I could wheelie it for miles and miles upshifting and downshifting cornering and waving at friends much to there amazement. I have a mint condition RD 400 Daytona special I´m willing to trade for a DT Enduro in similar condition. If anyone knows of any DT 400 monoshockers available please let me know! Thank You Aloha from Hawaii ,Shawn |
