Woohoo! I just bought a ´74 Yamaha DT360 as a 69th birthday present for myself. I´ve had a lot of bikes over the years but my first 2-wheeled love was an early 1970´s yellow Yamaha 125 Enduro. The DT360 was its big brother. My new green baby is in fine running condition, after carb cleaning, but it developed a very visible problem while I was riding it home after the purchase: the two tiny screws holding the face on the speedometer, already loose, vibrated out entirely. The face rotated and the screws now bounce around with the face. Easy-peesie, I thought - just remove the mechanism from the case and re-tighten the screws with some LocTite. Unfortunately, in an apparent effort to make the speedo weather-tight, the Yamaha engineers sealed it entirely. Does anyone have a fix for this? How can I get to the screws to fix this otherwise functional speedometer?
