The 77 DT 250 I have needs no battery to start. A spark, no matter how small should get the bike running...your bike should at least fire. Is there a timing issue? There´s a way to adjust them behind the left hand side engine/tranny panel that I´ve heard about. Perhap´s that´s your problem. Confirm that with a Clymer repair manual, or check with the local dealer. By the way, there´s two coils in those bikes, one runs the lights, and one runs the spark, so it can light up when jump starting, with no spark going to the plug. How did you confirm there was a spark? |
