these are excellent bikes for commuting and dirt bike riding, i own a honda vtr1000f firestorm aswell for road, i got the yamaha dt 175 for my girlfriend to learn on. It has enough power to enjoy the dirt safely, do jumps etc, very maneuvrable. Only thing it lacks is the power when commuting up an inclined angle road (i.e. highway use), speed going up such hills is about 70km/h, but you´d expect that given its a 2 stroke and 175cc. i use the yamaha dt125 1988 dealer service & repair manual (most things are in common) that i downloaded for maintaining the bike, since i can´t find a haynes, clymer or other manual for the 175 for sale anywhere... and downloads are free and just print and bind at work.. email me if u want a copy or got any more questions, its about 60MB, i´m located in sydney, australia |
