I can tell you mechanically from my experience with he MX version of this bike... that It is very bullet proof, but the Autolube pumps have a tendency to wear out, if not properly maintained. The rear, and front brakes need to be replaced with a grooved, EBC brake pad. They get wet, and don´t work very well. I have known many others, including myself that have had the kill switch wire wear out at the bar, and short out the bike. Watch the contact area around the throttle tube/kill switch housing. You will think it´s something wrong with the CDI, or something serious, and it will turn out to be a simple shorted wire from wear. It got me on a trail, and boy did I feel stupid. The DT is geared taller, and I would leave it at that, if you are planning on just riding roads. The battery is a pain in the butt, but they all are. The side panels are prone to having those little clips break off. Poor design. Nice enduro bike. Good for minor trail use if needed. |
