Hi All, New to this discussion goup. I recently (4 months ago) bought a DT125RE and discovered it to be a bit under powered. This a result of previously owning off road bikes in the 400 to 600 cc capacity. I use the bike to commute around Dublin, approx 25 miles per day. I just bought a DEP competition exhaust and will be fitting it shortly - having the local Yamaha Dealer do same. My question is - the new exhaust does not cater for the attachment pipe which goes into the existing exhaust (not being technically minded, I do not know or understand why this pipe needs to go into the current exhaust) and was wondering what function this pipe has. The pipe in question leads up to a junction box which is situated above the engine on the cross beam frame. A hose then leadss from the junction box to somewhere under the petrol tank. Any ideas what I am trying to describe. Thanks your assistance. Regards Chopper |
