Running bike. Battery won´t get a charge and dies after a couple days. New battery, no older than 3 weeks. The bike has been sitting for 35 years. Everything all original, in good great shape. Was told the problem could be the VOLTAGE REG ASSEMBLY. that maybe, over 35 years, dust or mildew has gotten in and is in need of cleaning. The part is worth more than what I bought the part for. Can someone confirm this problem and guild me on what to do. problemo 2. There are 3 wires that come out of the blinker relay. whilst trying to start the bike with the electric start one wire literally went up in flames. I disconnected and tired again and the bike started up(after adjusting the carb). everything works, high beams, turn signal, everything but the horn(thinking not be a big concern) thinking it might be the ground. where can I get a hold of a manual. VOLTAGE REG ASSEMBLY is on top of the blinker relay. |
