Just purchased a 2001 1100 XVS from my future son in law. He needed out of it to buy a house. He only had it a month or so and put about 100 miles on it. Spent no money but gas on it. I have to confess I dont know a darn thing about this bike. Dont know if I bought a pig in a poke or not. Any advice, normal problems you have had with this bike, would be appreciated.

Also purchased the bike for my wife. It sits low enough for her short legs. Seems fairly lite and easy to handle (except U turns). I want to put a nice looking windshield on it for her as well as saddle bags. Would appreciate any advice or experience as well as where to purchase those items. Again new to the discussion and thank ya´ll in advance for you help. By the way I ride a 2005 Nomad to work and back (80) miles every day. Had it 4.5 months and already have 9000 miles on it.
