| Hi my name is Ingrid. I recently bought a ´72 Yamaha DS7. It´s my first experience with vintage bikes. I´ve encountered my first problem with it. I´m not mechanically inclined so I´m looking for guidance on identifying what the problem could be. 1) I can start the motorcycle just fine, with one kick. It idles fine, and I can place it in first just fine as well. Once I start releasing the clutch and giving it gas it´ll start to go, but then it´ll stop. There was an instance when I got it to second, but then it all of a sudden stopped running. I´ve just been testing it out in the parking lot so I´m not exerting it or anything. Please ask me any questions, ask me for pics if it´ll help give me some direction to what the problem is. 2) does anyone know a reliable source where I can find a copy of the service/repair manual? Looking forward to learning more, it´s a sweet little bike when you got it running well (: |
