I just bought a 2008 C3 and it has been very hot the past couple days and had similar problems, I start the scooter and ride it a short distance and it slowly dies, I put the scooter in the shade and let it sit for an hour and it starts. It acts like a vapor lock, I think it has somthing to do with the gas cap not venting proplerly.
