good day to all..
I recently bought a 95 intruder, 800cc.. i filled the tank and was using it when it started stalling. notice the gas tank was almost empty, barely reached the gas station.. was wondering what can i check to improve the mileage per gallon. recently i noticed that it is burning too much fuel. there is a strong gas smell when i shake the bike but no signs of leakage. also I´ve got to mention that one of the exhaust pipes heats up more than the other, and the one that heats up more some times backfires.
i was having issues with the bike stalling when in idle, i adjusted the idle screw on the right side under the tank and now the idling is fine.
any ideas of where to start checking would be really appreciated.

p.s this is a great bike, strong and very fast.
