Hello everyone. I´m pretty bummed about having bought a 1994 Vs800 Suzuki Intruder a couple months ago. I just rode it back and forth to work 2-3 times a week (22 miles round-trip). A couple weeks ago it starts smoking real bad and spraying oil out one of the exhausts on my way home. I stopped and put oil in on the way not wanting the engine to seize up on me. I got it home ok, and have been talking to some backyard mechanics who think it might be a bad piston in one of the cylinders. Before I take it in for a piston/ring job I´d like to know how much it might cost to fix so I don´t get ripped off. I got the bike for $1,500 thinking I was getting a good deal. It´s a beautiful bike but I can´t afford to pay for it twice, if you know what I mean. Thanks for any help.
