Hey, guy - I just got a 2003 VL-800 in cherry condition, thanks to my son, Michael. He´s a marine currently deployed, and he recently re-upped, getting a sizable bonus for reenlisting. I have been battling cancer for about 10 years now, and disabled, unable to work and barely able to walk, but definitely strong enough to ride(!) He knew how much I wanted to ride again, having ridden for almost 40 years now, and being the fantastic son he is, he bought it for me. I´ve been riding ever since, I need to do a small carb. repair, but it rides wonderfully. I absolutely love the suzuki, I just wish it was easier to work on - the carb re-jet will be a nightmare, so I´ll be forced to have someone else do it... it will be the first time I´ve ever had someone else work on a vehicle of mine, but technology has really advanced since I worked on bikes!
