Well had the same problem and move the rectfire to in front of the battery out of the side case of the motor. Got to hot there and very bad ground. The other problem is the battery that is stock in this bike should be replaced with a YTX20CH-BS The stock 1 is to small to operater decomp amd starter at the same time.
