Crank, but no spark at the plugs. HELP!

My intruder 1500 will crank over, but will not start. I have a factory service manual and have completed some troubleshooting. I would like further guidance into this problem or can someone tell me what part I can replace? I think it may be the stator or the ignitor, am I on the right track?
