I have a 2002 Suzuki Intruder 1500 I would have the same type of problem. I solved it by upgraging my battery the recommended battery for this bike is a YUASA YTX-16-BS-1 it doesn´t have enough
power to turn these motors over.I replaced it with YUASA
YTX20-CH-BS solved the problem. The 16 has 230 cold cranking amps
the 20 has 270 cca.
