I changed to Vance and Hines pipes and jetted the carbs 5 years ago on my 1998 VL1500 currently with 15000 miles, I had it in storage for 6 months, it was difficult to start and when it did only ran on 1 cylinder. Suzuki dealer also said boths carbs needed to be replaced due to worn out slides at a cost of $1100. I cant believe the carbs cannot be rebuilt.
