i own a´98 vl 1500 that has a nice set of after market pipes.this changes the back pressure charactoristics that the motor was set for.as result you´ll effect performance,fuel consumption,and perhaps add an irratating poppin noise when decelerating.but as your bike is fuel injected you can have it easily,\
