I´ve had a slight problem with the engine getting hot if I´m pulling double and I put it down in 1st, at a stop light or sign, and when I take off it´s in nutral and I have to put it back in 1st. And, it grinds sometimes shifting gears when it´s real hot. I just felt it was an overloaded, overheated problem and it stops when it cools off, so I haven´t worried about it. This bike is designed to carry about 250pounds total driver and passenger. You see how massive the parts are and you don´t think you can overload it. But, if you really start taking all the false crome off that looks like it´s part of the engine, the engine and transmission is very small. It´s not heavy duty at all. Don´t get me wrong, it´s the best bike for the money anywhere! I´ve changed to Amsoil synthetic oil and have had far less trouble with overheating.Good luck.
