I have a 99 intruder 1500 and had same problem and took it to many shops an spent hundreds of dollars and no fix, i found an old school mechanic and found out the problem u have is most likely rear cylinder comprestion release vaulve. You dont need any new parts its just a small ajustment that needs done, but have it done at a shop becouse its such a minor ajustment-too much and u have no compresion too little and u keep the problem. Goto youtube and search :99 suzukie intruder 1500 starting problems. Should be very top three videos. Have this video saved and ready to show the shop you take it to and you should be solid for about $40 . It is same prob with your year but if u search with 1999 year u will find video easyer. Its been almost a year sence i had mine ajusted and it starts every time now. Hope this helps!
