Hi. Just picked up a 1974 TS250 tonight for a mere $240 to be used as my girlfriend´s first bike. I´ve only started it and I love it already. Being a bike guy I don´t really care about the fact that it is old school. I already own a Yami XT600 and a GSXR1000 and this is going to be a great addition. I´m excited to have a 2 stroke again and just hearing it tonight brought back lots of memories. I love that sound. This bike we got is a little rough although it seems to run very well. The guy selling it said he couldn´t tell if the oil injector was working properly so he just mixes the gas and oil and puts it into the gas tank. I´m going to have to check this out. I noticed that the bike is missing the taillight and the blinkers although it has the headlight. I am also missing that little plastic piece of bodywork that goes in front of the oil injector reservoir. I´m going to have to find that piece somehow. I look forward to any messages you guys may post about these bikes. |
