What up Matt, How´s the ride on one of the baddest crotch rockets Suzuki ever made eh? Sorry but I don´t know of any lowdown kit for the bad boy and I´ve searched.(although I was limited to what info I could get here in Japan) But I do know from sources like the Maker and other Speed shops that they don´t recommend "lowering" the bike due to the fact that it will "drastically effect the performance settings" and charactoristics designed into the bike. Us riders worth our salt know that we must "set it up" to our own liking and riding style.(not to mention our anatomy)I feel ya´ bro,I´m tall and still desire to lower mine but there are some design problems to get by first..1) The steering damper won´t clear the left (sitting on the bike)fork if they are lowered more than 13mm or less on most bikes from that year on so,..right turns are not possible.2) The rear if lowered too much (10mm may be way too much..) will increase the possiblity of you "goin´ sterile" way before your time due the constant cookin´ of those precious family jewels you hold so dear. Yeah, you know that seat can get HOT HOT HOT in traffic remember? Why? ´cause the rear cylinder head is right under buddy, and guess where that CPU is? yup!! you got it!! So..There you have it.3)Also,got some 411 on what happens to the brake pads ..they give up the ghost much earlier than normal to me.Yeah,I lowered mine anyway to check it out and you know what? It ain´t all that!!! I had to take off the steering damper to get a feel for any difference. Dropped the rear and stiffened the setting too but let me tell ya´ I´m still here to right this but the TLR and I were almost a memory bro.My baby was not down wit those changes if you get my drift.(and was I forever DRIFTIN´!)So I reset mine back just a bit it´s still lowdown but not so X-TREME. My bike is fully tuned, the works except for brake lines and a hugger.(will have them too soon!) Well check it bro,I think we better find that kit! I´ll keep looking, get back to this when I´ve got some 411 on it...till then ride safe man ´cause the TL1000R ain´t no joke,..for real,no doubt!! Shear raw power asking to be manhandled by the one´s who feel worthy. Mind you it´s got some flaws but hell we all do,everything man-made for that matter but I for one am, sooooooooo enjoying this bueatiful blunder from Suzuki. My RED WASP just turns every head she shines at,thundering thru Tokyo like it owns the place! Crusin´ down to Starbucks tonight to bask in my own personal "shock & awe" campaign! P.S. Got more info for most of those "gremlins" you´ll face. Keep in touch somehow. I´m out!! I´ll holla!
