It has 4. I have a 94 with 44K and still running strong. I average 46 mpg normal riding and get higher on the freeway. If the carbs are stock, I recomend updating them with a jet kit. This bike is known for a weak mid range power. Also, if you have a low stumble, the emulsion tubes are known for wearing causing them to run rich. I have a set of Factory Pro coated tubes in mine and it´s a night and day differecnc! My mpg increased by 10.
