I am in canada, bought a 2006 suzuki c50t new and rode it to argentina and back. SUZUKI extended warranty is equivalent to toilet tissue, they simply tell you its wear and tear. Now, i am short and the bike fits me well.It has good power, shifts good,on deep corners the floor boards scrape(oh well),handles good, and is pretty good on mileage(about 280 km a tank).Had my 1st issue in ecuador, gauges kept dying, and it took the dealer 2 days to find a bare wire in the steering column(50$),i used a k and n filter-sewrviced as required,AND BASICALLY I LOVE THE BIKE...but at 80,000 km it all falls apart-started using engine oil 1 liter for 800 km, front forks leaking, transmission clutch had to be replaced, and worst of all the fuel injection module packed it in(1500$)-ALL NOT COVERTED BY BUMPER TO BUMPER 3 YEAR SUZUKI EXTENDED WARRANTY-AND THE SELLING DEALER WAS NOOOOO HELP. So, fixed everything for 5000$ and ending up riding it till 140,000 km and sold it for 1700$. That was 2 years ago. 2 months ago I HAD TO RIDE SO I BOUGHT A 750 SHADOW AERO used a 2008, 40k,for 3800$ fully loaded with everything-it was SLOW,HANDLES LIKE A PIG, NO POWER,AND FORGET THE CHOKE ADJUSTMENT EVERY MORNING...SOLD IT IN 1 MONTH AND BOUGHT A USED 2012 SUZUKI C50T with 3800km a plane ride away(divorce sale) for 5250$-a good deal, triton blue and white,HANDLES GREAT,RIDS GREAT,IT SERIOUSLY NEEDS A DOUBLE FRONT DISK BRAKE AND REAR DISK(you just cant stop in an emergency)but,it looks wonderful rides beautifully and im extremely happy with it-the 2016 no longer had the BOULEVARD CHROME EMBLEM-SUZUKI EXECS YOUR NUTS...it now has a painted letterhead exactly like the shadow honda-suzuki-STOP FOLLOWING HONDA YOU HAVE A BETTER BIKE...CAPICHE?anyway..i plan to keep it and am now saving up for repairs at 80,000 km...but the bike is worth it, the 2006 i paid 11,000$ for...this one was like new less than half...write me if you need to talk...I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE BIKE...BUT IT AINT NO HARLEY-EVEN THO IT LOOKS LIKE ONE.JOHN WAYNE |
