Stalls while coasting to a stop.

I am new to riding so with that said I am having a problem with my Savage 650 stalling if I coast to a stop or if I cruise at a speed that doesn´t require an increased throttle. (maintaining a speed like 55mph) Am I doing something wrong? I have had this bike checked over several times by a certified mechanic and no problems have been found.
