I had a 74 GT 750 that I bought new in ´74 in Tulsa, Oklahoma and it would run 140-mph, if you would lay down on it. I meant really lay down on it, ie: put your chin on the speedometer and your feet over the the tail lights, I had mine up to 140 MPH several times.
