72 gt 550 oil leaks out of exhaust

I have a 72 Gt 550 and it runs great but when I shut it off and let it set awhile, the 2-stroke oil drips out of mufflers at the lower joints. I have changed oil pump and made sure it was set correctly and it still drips oil. Can I premix oil with gas and not use oil injection?
