Not expensive to maintain in my experience. I put 35,000 miles on one while I was in college and never did anything but points, brake pads, tires, cnain, and sprockets. I have read that center cyl had a tendency to sieze up but never knew anyone personally it happened to. Not a problem as far as I know. Suggest you increase rear sprocket 4 teeth over stock. Made my bike much more fun to ride and that engine will run at 6000 rpm all day long. conatct me direct if you want to talk more, I´m a big fan of the 380. just finsihed restoring one.
