the 1000 motor will fit just fine all you need to do is move the side top motor mounts on both sides it is best to put the motor in and hook up the rear motor mount then cut and reweld the front ones
i just put a 750 motor in my 03 it was a 600 and we are about to pu the 1000 motor in
