We changed the carbs on my bike when I bought it, but that was because some previous owner had fitted a Dynojet Kit, and parts in the carbs had been bored out in order to fit the bigger jets. So it was impossible to get the original jets back, but I suspect the carbs were "worn out" anyway. The symptoms were almost the same, some times it felt like it flooded, and after driving below 6-7000 rpm for a while, the engine went sour, and had to be revved in order make it run clean again. Have you tried changing the entire row of carbs? I bought used ones for a sensible price. My bike is a red and white one. Good luck, whatever you choose to do! |
