You can get a battery tender for bike batteries for about 30 dollars. The battery is under the seat. Remove the two screws that hold the seat on (each side to rear of seat). Theres the battery. :)
Dont think it would hurt to charge from car cuz 12volts is 12 volts. I wouldn´t do it with the car running though.
