That comment is correct for general riding of it, but I had problems when stopped, on uneven pavement. Going to one side and if It wasn´t flat it would cause me to not get toe down, and bike would lean that way and no able to catch it. This mean´t a bunch of unnecessary drops. Once lowered no more dropping in this situation. Having 2 full feet down, beats tiptoeing any day. So far I haven´t noticed any handling problems still able to hit the curves the same. However, if you getting lowering links for general riding it isn´t necessary for that. I had no problems riding it at its regular height. Also if you decide to put these on, make sure you lower the front too, I think people whom complain of handling issues after they did this failed to lower the front as well.
