Same problem on my 96´ 1100. Rough idle with backfires when revving, feels like it´s running on 3 cyl at takeoff and while accelerating over 5000rpm. Cleaned carbs twice and filter, checked valves. Sat for a month while I was away but ran mint before I left. Only 17,000kms on the bike, don´t know what it could be.
