Just Got a great deal on a used 02 gsxr 1000 with 15,000 miles on it....or at least i thought i did. Just the other day i went out to start up the bike and i noticed a bit of a smoke cloud after warm up on a high rev. up. Now it only seems to produce this smoke cloud when and if i rev it up past 10,000 rpm.( the bike is parked when i´m doing this) Now from being around cars most of my life i know smoke clouds at high rpm´s ARE NOT GOOD. My question is what is causing it to do that and if possible what can i do to prevent it....thats if there is a remedy that does not involve tearing the engine down and replacing viable engine parts. Please e-mail reply to address provided....Thanks in advance.
