have a 85 gs 550 es , would like any info on setting up carbs for this bike with stock exhaust and airbox...its running lean for the most part , cylinder temps over 450f at idle ...other cylinders at 180 to 200 f ...bike has 5500 miles on it, so not excessively worn,
so dont suspect any mechanical problems except for carbs...compression is good , new plugs..seems to have been a problem since new as the pattern on the exhaust pipes indicate... the black chrome has burned off on number 1 while its intact on number 4.... so suspect a mixture problem since new....any other suggestions as to where to look next? dave
