I own this bike since January 2011 and until now I feel the exact same thing. There´s few info on tis bike. Excluding mine, I never seen one on the street, only pictures on the web.

Perhaps this can help, the Bandit 1200 has the same engine. It´s not much but it´s something.

p.s. I love this bike
